My good friends at the Bergen-based Norwegian quirk shop "ROBOT" and graphic designer Martin Kvamme are unveiling a new line of super limited edition t-shirts this week. Ten well-respected norwegian graphic designers and agencies (Are Kleivan, Blank Blank, Grandpeople, Kim Hiorthøy, Martin Kvamme, Non Format , Rui Tenreiro, Superlow, Teipu & Yokoland) were given free reigns to do a one colour white-on black design, each printed in a limited quantity of ten women's and ten men's shirts, for a grand total of 200 shirts. basically, these shirts will be sold only at Vika Kino, oslo for a 2 day period (the 10th & 11th of May) during "visueltdagene 07", a yearly arrangement to celebrate Norwegian visual communication by the national graphic design organization GRAFILL.

however, if you're unable show up in Norway on such short notice, you might be able to score a shirt by contacting Henrik Svanevik (henrik@transformatorlyd.com) from the ROBOT shop if you're lucky. i have no idea what they cost, but i'm assured that they're relatively cheap, this being an idealistic project and all.

Later this year, ROBOTBUTIKKEN promises to build on this concept by offering future collections from norwegian and international designers through the official robot website. (it's not up yet, so stay tuned by friending robot @ myspace). Who knows, this could be huge.
