$18, Go Ape Shirts

Aaron Hogg, the king of New Zealand, has a smashing new shirt up at Go Ape. It's called Killovision and it's worth buying in all its schizophrenic nostalgia/culture jamming glory. Don't stall on this one, he needs the funds to get his ring back from that pug faced guy from LOST! (link)

I've got a couple of new shirts up for sale at luckythreadz, go check them out! Printed on American Apparel shirts.the wolf shirt is an attack on all that is the common wolf shirt, while Luchadores is a salute to the fine art of masked wrestling. If you're not quite sure that masked wrestling is worth saluting, have a gander at this video and change your mind.

Oddica Robot trilogy

various artists, $55 (single shirt $20), oddica (link)

More robots on shirts, and i'm not complaining. Oddica's take on the subject is intriguing, a veritable gift pack of bionic bounties. On the background of my earlier post today i say they shoulda included a pitts as well, but what the hell.

here's the specs, straight from the robot horse's mouth:
"The Oddica Robot Trilogy is a Limited-edition Robot Extravaganza that comes in a collectible stainless steel can; only 55 cans will be produced, each with a numbered card.
Each set contains 3 shirts, 3 buttons, and 2 limited-edition stickers in a screenprinted tin.
Robot vs. Bear by Chris Bishop
The Friendly Robot by Rocky Davies
Helping Hand by Dwayne Clare
Three buttons featuring the three T-shirt designs
A Limited-Edition die-cut sticker from Blair Sayer
A Limited Edition square sticker from beejay
A Limited-Edition stainless-steel can screenprinted with a design from Chris Bishop
The price is $55.
The shirts themselves are being produced in normal quantities and will be available individually at the current Oddica prices"

go here to pick one up.
Henrik, if you're reading this: You've already ordered a set, right?

Oddica also released the brilliant scuba standoff this week. considering that squds and robots are among the most clichéd things you can put on a t-shirt, the multi-awesomeness whammy of these designs is quite an achievement.

Diodes are a girl's best friend

Diodes are a Girls Best Friend - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Threadless, $25

Hey, what's this? in-house favourite and illustrator extraordinaire Travis Pitts finally managed to tear himself away from his gargantuan robot porn collection for long enough to finish his long-rumoured entry to the Threadless Select hall of fame? Sweet. Of course, it's a girl straddling a robot (anything else would just be sick and perverted) and a mighty fine depiction to boot. I pretty much picked this up the moment i saw it, as there was a huge olive-coloured hole in my wardrobe. Olive is vastly underrated as t-shirt colour.the 12-colour palette and american apparel shirt more than justifies its $25 price tag, too. click the pic to check it out.

threadless snatch of the week

Original Gamester - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
$15-17

that's snatch as in picking up something, not as in lady bits, btw.

jeez, i think i'm becoming nerdier by the week. anyway, i dig this shirt because it says "street cred: 0" on the bottom, which is funny because it's true. it gives meaning to the otherwise kinda lame gangsta punnage. Visually, it's a fine piece of faux retro gaming imagery, i especially dig the colours, they pop and really bring back memories of the primitive, but oh so stylish lo-res graphics a lot of us spent our collective childhood staring into.
mine is in the mail, i'll probably wear it quite often. via threadless

ok, so i stole this link off boing boing, but still, this ww2 british inspirational poster turned t-shirt sends out a great message of calmness and reason in these days of unreasonable media-created terror hysteria. buy it here

Another entry in my quest to find the nerdiest shirt on the planet. this one is pretty self explainatory, so i'm just gonna cut and paste from the description provided by its makers:

"Although the "im in ur" meme started off with virtual death and destruction (I'm in your base killing your d00dz), it was quickly overtaken by the legions of cute, fluffy, and irresistible. (And by that we mean cats.) Reclaim the phrase for the humans by captioning yourself. This shirt is full of write-on, wash-off goodness. Tell everyone you're in their noun verbing their noun! Bored with what you wrote this morning? Throw the shirt in the wash and think up a new saying. It's like Mad Libs meets Photoshop in a head-to-head deathmatch on your chest.
Imagine the possibilities! Visiting in-laws? We recommend, "im in ur offspring sproutin' ur family tree." Stuck at the office? May we suggest, "im in ur meeting eatin' ur donuts." Out for some wardriving? How about "im in ur unsecured network downloadin' ur pr0n." Techs could proudly wear their own "im in ur computer upgradin' ur RAM" shirts. Or for a more recursive bent, how about "im in ur lolbots crashin' ur server"?
Better yet, don't imagine. Experience it for yourself with our unique black 100% cotton t-shirt which comes pre-packaged with its own write-on, wash-off marker. Black shirt with white lowercase text and fill-in-the-blank style boxes for ur fillin-in-the-blank pleasure." Available from thinkgeek at $17/19 a pop.

Recent Threadless faves

Iconoclast - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
All over print? All over print! c'mon, all the cool kids are doing it these days. I hope they do more of these. ($25)

Fur Ladies - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
Foxes are good. Foxes with irony are better.
This one's taking it back, like when latin people grow huge moustaches and wear sombreros just to make fun of the honky perception of them. or something.($15-17)

King Me Mask - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
This is like a transcript of what dogs dream about when they're waving their legs around in their sleep.

No-Arms McSneakers - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever
this one's been around for a while, but it's officially my favourite shirt at the moment. you'd think pink and purple would be too much, but it's not. this design rules so much ass it has probably postponed judgement day several times over already without telling us. Cause that's just the kind of dude no arms mc sneakers is, powerful but modest. Just like your mom.($25)
